EV’s Virtual-Volunteer Resource Service (VRS) operates to support community organisations to develop a sustainable volunteer workforce. Through our bespoke online community of practice and customised learning and support hub.

Communities of Practice

The Online Volunteering Communities of Practice (CoP) offers a hybrid model of organisational networking by supporting face-2-face and online volunteering network meetings. The CoP platform brings organisations and community groups utilising volunteers together around key issues of change and inclusive volunteering. Each CoP will be established within local communities/regions to ensure local and themed forums.

EV will train a local organisation to moderate the CoP to ensure local ownership and the integrity of place-based approaches.

The capacity of the platform includes forums, chat spaces, document storage and local news/events promotion.

Learning and Support Hub

The EV Learning and Support Hub offers online training and support for volunteers and organisations / community groups through engaging and interactive online modules based on best practice in teaching and learning.

Modules on the EV Learning and Support Hub are presented in three pathways specifically designed to support: (i) organisations, (ii) leaders and boards and (iii) individuals. Module examples: preparing to volunteer, disability inclusion in the workplace, governance and management. These modules are designed to prevent duplication with other platforms. In addition, we work with partners to develop bespoke modules designed for local needs which support regional communities of volunteering.
